About Katahdin Security

Mount Katahdin (/kəˈtɑːdɪn/ kə-TAH-din) is the highest mountain in the state of Maine at 5,269 feet. The name means “Great Mountain” in Abenaki and it is the terminus of the Appalachian Trail.

Mike Siegel is the founder of Katahdin Security. He has over a decade of industry experience in Offensive Security. He gained his experience in diverse industries including: healthcare, government, e-commerce, consulting, cloud providers and SaaS startups.

Throughout the years Mike has worked in almost every facet of Offensive Security: penetration testing, web application and API testing, bug bounty management and most recently Red and Purple Teaming. Mike currently holds the Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) and GIAC Exploit Researcher and Advanced Penetration Tester (GXPN) certifications.
